Students For And Against SB 1254 gathered to protest at the Idaho Statehouse

Yesterday, a walkout at Boise State University took place to protest for and against Idaho SB 1254 at the Idaho Statehouse. Those against the measure had used a twitter hashtag, titled #NoGunsOnCampus.

In an interview with Nick Corronato, spokesperson for Students for Concealed Carry, he described the training associated with a Concealed Carry permit, and the issues surrounding an Active Shooter situation.

Ron Enwright, a Boise Resident who also is a Gun Owner, expressed his opposition to the Legislation, citing, “responsible gun ownership.”

According to SB 1254, the following is described as the “Legislative Intent.”

During the protest, both sides engaged in discussion related to their stances on the Legislation itself.

SB 1254, is scheduled for a hearing in the Idaho House State Affairs Committee at 8:00 AM today.
