Guns Across America Rally: Grassroots movement takes stand in defense of U.S. Constitution and the Vulnerable

Within a week, a nationwide rally was organized across the country in defense of the 2nd Amendment of the United States Constitution. In Idaho, the rally within the state was organized by Russell Thurston of Boise. The logistical help was organized by Tony Snesko of Idaho Carry.org Its website defines Open Carry as,

The rally itself was in response to actions taken by United States President Barack Obama after the Sandy Hook shooting tragedy.
At the start of the rally, Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance were issued by a Church Leader and by people attending the rally.

Ted Dunlap, former candidate for Ada County Sherrif and member of Oathkeepers spoke on the need to protect the Internet from Government Interference. He mentioned the public should invest in an Internet connection. Speaking on the fact that six corporations control the majority of media outlets.

The next person to speak was Wayne Hoffman of the Idaho Freedom Foundation. An organization dedicated to free markets and less government intervention. He also spoke to the need to push back against Federal Government Tyranny.

The head of the Idaho Liberty Caucus had this to say at the rally.

During a speech issued by Tony Snesko at the rally, a passionate plea was given by him to safeguard Concealed Carry, and push for Open Carry within the State of Idaho. In his speech, he gave his reasons as to why he felt Concealed Carry and Open Carry were under threat.

During the events of the Mainstream Media Coverage of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, the mainstream media had initially reported that the shooter had a form of Autism.
Later, it was reported that the shooter had a personality disorder.

Russell Thurston, the organizer for the Idaho Rally of the “Guns Across America” event stated that people with Mental Illness and other disabilities were equally demonized, as Gun Owners were in the aftermath of the Sandy Hook Shooting tragedy. Mentioning that decisions that take away a person’s rights did not belong to doctors and is best left to judges.
Addressing the issue of Mental Health, Tony Snesko had argued that the issue is not about Guns, but about Moral Decay. To which, he further touched on the fact that not a further dime needed to spent overseas. Further mentioning that how the money is directed was an issue needing to be addressed.

In an interview with Ted Dunlap of Oathkeepers and former Ada County canidate for Sherrif. He spoke on the need for defending the internet. Saying later in the interview that violence is hatred no matter what group you are a part of.

As the issues surrounding the aftermath of Sandy Hook Elementary continue to be discussed, a new awareness of politics in terms of daily life has now grown across the country.
